New Bible Study Thursday's 7pm Print E-mail

Is the Bible relevant for today? Those who pose that question I challenge if they have ever read Paul's letter to the Church at Corinth. Paul starts off gently putting into perspective that a church lacking in no spiritual gift, need not boast because the gifts are that, gifts that were sent from above, bestowed up the least of a society fueled by debauchery. Paul climatically settles the issue of the greatest of all the gifts being that of the gift of Love (Corinthians 13).

Join us Every Thursday 7pm-8pm for an awesome revelation of God's presence in the church of Corinth and how we can make him present in the church of our home, community, county and nation.

The Mission Decision Print E-mail
As the saying goes "God moves in mysterious ways". One of those mysterious ways, was touching a lad like myself. With only some college experience, no security for my new family, and no real outlook for the future, On April 8th 1997, God called the play that would put me in the game. The game was soul winning, and keeping.

On April 8th 1997, God called me out of darkness and into his marvelous light, and on April 8th 2007, the Lord commissioned that the process of soul winning and keeping would involve some planting. That plant would be called Calvary Fellowship of Greenwich. Before I gotstarted I understood I knew very little about planting a church, and after I got started I learned I knew even less. Therefore by the grace of God my heartdoesn't fail but burns not to win this race, but to finish. So far we've slowed down to get water, we've taken a break on a nearby bench, evenallowed ourselves to be dragged in this race, but we are still in it.

Where are we exactly in this race? I'd like to think that we're only at the beginning, even though we don't know how long that beginning is, there'sonly way way to go from the beginning and thats to the end.

Our beginning consists of a simply Bible study at a local starbucks. Our goal is to learn what the scripture says to us collectively as a small part of the body of Christ, and individually as members of an extended part of the body of Christ. Our needs are simple, and I pray that they remain simple, and that's the need of prayer. Prayer for our family members involved, prayer for the attendees involved and prayer for the extended families that oversees our call.Thank you for taking a moment to consider this call and pray that the Lord continues to keep a heavy burden on our hearts to finish this race!
